Back to My Roots...the Retightening Update

As I shared in my last post, I really haven't had my hair professionally retightened in almost 6 months. Honestly, I had so many things going on I just didn't feel like dealing with the hair. Well, I finally got my head done and surprisingly I still have hair left! It only took about 6 hours which is just an hour longer than normal (I have mostly small/medium sisterlocks, about 550 or so). I'll let you in on a little secret though...I think I prefer my hair with the new growth unlocked. I tried curling it a little bit for something different. Hopefully the curls will fall some real soon (I am a die-hard freestyler!). But, I thought I'd share my updated photos with you all anyway. Later,
klw

Before Retightening: (can you find my scalp in all this hair?)

honey, you are not the only one who prefers the fullness of unlocked roots. I do too and always have. The way I see it, retights are a necessary protocol, but I'll take the extra fullness any day of the week. You're still as cute a button.

Hey Tra,
Yes I used soft spikes. I'm not quite sure if I like them with my length. It's just not as cute as yours :-)

Tanya,
Thanks for saying that, I thought I was the only one. Now granted I do tend to take the non-retightenings to the extreme (6 months), but I do love the fullness. Especially with my thick thin hair.

You're pretty cute too!
